9 Ways Building Brand Authority with Content Marketing

Having brand authority makes a big difference when someone is contemplating whether to buy from your brand or not. In this post, we will share tips on how to build brand authority with content marketing.

In gauging your authority level, you must not assume that you fully understand how your viewers see you. Before launching any marketing strategies, make sure to do your research. How is the search traffic for your brand? What terms are people searching for that are related to your brand? How do people find you? Are you mentioned by others on social media?

Utilize google and all its tools to help you get a perspective of how people discover and see your brand.

Building brand authority is not easy and does not happen overnight. It’s a marathon. It takes a lot of effort and work, but the benefits you get from it are massive and worth every sweat you pour into it.

Here’s how content improves brand authority:

    • Educate your audience about your products and services.
    • Help you gain better leads and conversions.
    • Build strong relationships between you and your audience.
    • Helps build a sense of community.
    • It boosts brand authority.

So how exactly can a brand build authority? Here are some ways on how to build brand authority with content marketing.

    Answer customer’s questions

Nowadays, people rely on the internet to get the information they are looking for. If you want to become an authority figure in your field, one of the many things you need to do is to provide value to your audience.

Content marketing isn’t only about making personalized content for your brand and selling them to consumers. It is also about providing information to your audience by answering their questions.

Providing answers to your viewers not only builds your brand awareness but also builds your brand authority.

    Take Advantage of Social Media

The power of social media is at its high today, and for so many years now. The opportunities you get when you know how to tap into it are limitless and it’s a great platform to connect with your audience, potential customers, influencers, and possible business partner/s. By leveraging social media, you can easily share your expertise and quality content with a broader market.

    Create Captivating Visuals

We have always accentuated how visuals are just as important as quality text. Your content should not only be full-on text, it should also have visual elements such as an infographic, high-quality images, or videos that can attract the reader’s attention.

Additionally, these visual elements can be used and repurposed in different ways for your social media platforms.

Be consistent with your visuals so that your branding is clear. Incorporate photos related to your brand and include your logo so that people will easily remember you.

    Keep your website current

Monitor your website and keep it updated on a regular basis. Any errors affect your brand reputation and it will negatively affect your customer’s experience. Having a well-working website shows that you care about your brand and your customers.

Base Your Content on Relevant Studies and Reports

By basing your content on relevant studies, you are showing your readers that you want to give them fresh and helpful information. You can also conduct surveys and studies to provide more value to your audience. This is a good way to build your brand authority with content marketing.

Contribute as a Guest Blogger on Authoritative Sites

Blogs with high domain authority are the target because these websites are the ones leading in their industries. Guest blogging on authoritative sites will allow you to showcase your knowledge and expertise to their audience and this has many benefits. Aside from building brand recognition and authority, this is also a great link-building strategy that can bring more traffic to your site.

    Brand Authority with Content Marketing

    Produce Industry-Related Content

Another way to build brand authority with content marketing is by producing industry-related content. Demonstrate industry-specific expertise and knowledge and even if this kind of content doesn’t necessarily address the customer’s questions, it can still resonate with them.

Content that gives insight into what’s happening in the industry can work well in building brand authority.

Make customer-based content for your website

You can utilize your online reviews to gain and build trust. Each of your customers has different views and opinions about your product/service. Whether that review is good or bad, you should know about it. Use the feedback you get from previous customers and incorporate it into your content strategy.

Team up with other brands to build a community

Partner up and work with the right people to grow your brand. Look for partnership opportunities with successful brands in your industry that share your vision and values. A wonderful and strong collaboration can make a positive impact on your audience and you will be perceived as a brand that knows how to build and nurture relationships.

Content marketing is powerful and investing more of your time and effort in it is a great step to improve your brand authority. Making content that benefits and give value to your audience is a mark of a true marketer.

Continue building your strategy with the tips given above and be consistent to ensure positive results. Good luck!

  • Make the Most Out of Instagram

Make the Most Out of Instagram

4 Incredible Ways to Make the Most Out of Instagram

If you are looking for ways to make the most out of Instagram, then you are in the right place. Today, we are going to cover the best practices for Instagram engagement, using Instagram Stories, and working with brands to level up your Instagram game.

You can use any content, even from your everyday life, just know that Instagram, or any social media for that matter, evolves over time. It’s never going to be the same, so you’ll have to constantly learn and adapt as you use the platform.

    Always Be Testing

If you want your social media accounts to flourish, you have to learn about what your audience likes. To do that, your only option is to experiment with different types of posts. People react to posts that inspire them or entertain them or make them think. The best type of posts really is those that tap into people’s emotions. Experiment and figure out if your audience is into inspirational or funny stuff by posting different content. See which posts get better hits and get you more follows.

Most people think that to have a successful Instagram account, you have to be a model or someone famous and post iconic shots and bikini photos. While that works for some, there are others who found success in posting other kinds of content. That’s why the most basic thing you need is to learn and understand your audience by experimenting with different posts.

Maybe your audience will like video posts, or thought-provoking quotes and graphics. Maybe your audience is geared more towards appreciating artistic shots or funny skits. Whatever your brand is, the way you can attract more audience is by listening to what they want to see on your page.

Make the Most Out of Instagram

Moreover, aside from experimenting with different types of content, also test out when to upload your posts. Find out when your audience is most active on the platform and play around with the timing of your posts until you get it right.

Here’s a trick I’ll share with you when you have absolutely no content to upload: re-post stuff from other people. Of course, don’t forget to credit and tag them. There’s a re-post app you can use for this which I will share in a while. There is always a solution to a problem. If you don’t have any content to post, don’t be afraid to improvise and get content from elsewhere. Just make sure that you’re tagging the original content provider, no harm, no foul.

The bottom line is, don’t be afraid to experiment and test out different content types. Don’t just focus on your content, focus on what your audience likes to see from you. As you begin to learn more about your audience, you’ll figure out if they are more receptive to pictures or videos. Figure out your platform and find out which helps increase your engagements.

    Instagram Stories

Instagram Story is a feature a lot of people love, including me. It’s freeing to play around with Instagram Stories because the stuff you upload in it only lasts for 24 hours and it stays at the top of the feed without disrupting your follower’s feed. This can give you the flexibility to try out a couple of techniques without the pressure of putting something permanent on your feed.

Instagram Stories allows you to upload video clips and photos with fun filters to spice up your content. You also have the ability to do a live broadcast. You can go live anywhere whether you’re at a basketball game, your living room, your studio, in your car stuck in traffic, or wherever. Lastly, if you want to save your stories for longer than 24 hours, you can save and put them on a “highlight” which can be seen on your Instagram profile for however long you want.

Instagram Stories are great because it gives you immediate feedback from your engaged audience when your content is relevant to them. So, for example, when you upload a post on your main page, you’ll have a comment section where people can say anything they want to say. With Instagram Stories, your followers can react to them and even send you a dm when your post highly resonated with them. This is when you’ll learn that your stories are a hit or miss.

You can post on Instagram stories for as much as you like or as little as you want, you don’t have to worry about annoying your followers because they won’t pop up on their Instagram feed. You’re not going to overbear them if you’re posting too much.

Using hashtags and locations in your stories also helps increase followers. If you’re trying to gain attention to get people to visit your website or subscribe to your newsletter, there’s a feature where you can put a link on your stories that will directly take them there.

    Building Engagement

When you’re using Instagram for business, the thing you probably want to achieve is to increase your followers. To do that, you have to focus on building engagement.

Engagement with your fans will boost your posts to the top of people’s feeds. If you have a post that has a higher amount of likes and comments from someone else’s post, your post will be promoted over the other person’s post.

Instagram is ever-evolving and constantly changing, and one of the biggest challenges is to beat the algorithm when they got rid of the chronological order. The algorithm includes everything from likes, comments, direct messages, or any other interactions your posts are getting. That’s why you don’t just focus on likes, you focus on everything that will get your posts engagements.

How do you get more comments? The first trick is to respond back to all the people who have commented on your post. This will instantly double the number of comments on your photo. If you want to have a genuine connection with your audience, you have to engage. You can’t just upload something and leave, you have to interact with your followers in the comments section.

Another way to increase engagement is to ask a question in your captions. Instead of having a long and detailed description, you can add a question that will entice people to reply to it in the comments section. Research shows that when you ask a question, people are going to want to answer it. So, that’s a plus for building engagement.

Always be on the lookout for new trends and techniques in the community.

You can also comment on other posts to grow your audience. Go on other accounts that you genuinely vibe with and leave a relevant comment. People like reading through comments. If they like yours, there’s a big chance that they’ll visit your page and follow your account, too.

Another tip is to use hashtags and locations to get people to stay on your post. The algorithm takes into account how long a user spends time looking at a post, that’s why having a good caption, asking a question, implementing locations, and using hashtags can help your post have engagements.

Go look at your posts. Are you using hashtags? Are you asking questions? Are you using a location? If you’re not using these tips and tricks, try it out and see if you’re garnering more engagement and growing your fan base.

    Working With Brands

Let’s talk about brands. Over the years, I’ve learned that audiences really don’t mind ads as long as they’re done in moderation and in a unique and genuine way. That’s the challenge of making ads. Also, space them out because you don’t want to have back-to-back ads that will annoy and frustrate your viewers.

What are the Different Types of Sponsorship?

There are different sponsorships on Instagram. There’s a one-time-only deal in which a brand offers your an X amount of dollars for a one-time post. And then there are others where a brand offers partnership to a person that they believe could be a great representative of their brand. There’s also a unique sponsorship where companies hire people to go out on events and cover those with their Instagram Stories or their main feed.

The coveted sponsorship is where you get to have a relationship with a brand. You can build trust in both ways and these brands can then give you more freedom to talk about their product in your own unique and genuine way. When you do well with brands, they’re gonna want to continue to work with you. It’s a win-win situation when you’re helping increase their fanbase and getting their products out there.

How do you get started working with brands?

You’re not a celebrity, or an athlete, or an influencer with millions of followers, so how do you get started working with brands? The first tip is to go after them. Search for brands that you genuinely want to work with and send them a direct message. There’s nothing wrong with this method, really. A lot of times when you start reaching out, they’ll send you products, you can try the product out, interact with your fans, and continue to grow those brand relationships from there. Don’t forget to tag or hashtag the brand.

At the end of the day, this is another reason why you should grow your followers organically and not buy them. If your goal is to get brand sponsorships or promote products, you’ll want to get your messages across to a real audience.

    Final Thoughts

Instagram is a great platform and if you are someone who wants to make the most out of it, always work on your engagements. Don’t be intimidated because when you do things the right way, you can absolutely conquer this platform. Make the most out of Instagram with the tips we shared and enjoy success as you build your account.

7 Effective Ways To Promote Your Business On Facebook

    Promote Your Business On Facebook

Your potential reach on Facebook is practically endless, with over one billion active users. However, there are a few critical considerations to keep in mind while promoting your business on Facebook. It’s not easy to get in touch with users. And, especially when it comes to using social media to market your business, you’re up against stiff competition from businesses exactly like yours.

Today, Facebook has evolved into the most effective platform for promoting yourself and your business. Most people these days don’t bother visiting websites or blogs, but they do visit Facebook pages. If you use Instagram and Twitter as well, you should be able to get a lot of visits and new clients. It is, however, difficult to stand out among all the other pages that are trying to achieve the same thing. Here are seven efficient techniques to promote your business on Facebook that you should consider using.

Effective Ways to Promote Your Business On Facebook

    Create Your Own Business Page

    Okay, first things first. Before you can actually promote your business on Facebook, you have to create a Facebook Page. And before you can decide what kind of material to put on your business page, you must first build an online presence and proclaim to the world that you are officially open for business. It’s easy to create your own Facebook page and the procedure is quite straightforward;

    • Go to your Facebook Profile
    • At the top right of the page, click the Menu option and select ‘Page’ at the Create section
    • Create a name for your business and enter all the miscellaneous details needed

That’s it, you have made a Facebook Page for your business. Don’t forget to upload a decent display and cover photo. It’s easy and free to create a Facebook Business Page and with this platform, you will be able to post content and interact with your audience.

    Post Video Content

Videos are largely popular because they are entertaining and engaging. And over the last few decades, video content has grown in popularity. Today, almost every organization hires a digital marketing agency to assist them to develop video content. But many content creators decide to produce and direct their video material.

The choice of how to make videos is really up to you, but if you want to take your Facebook promotion on another level, it is highly recommended you also post video content to gain more reach and engagement.

Use Hashtags to Up your discoverability

Hashtags have long been available on Facebook, but they’re not as popular as they are on other platforms like Twitter or Instagram. Facebook is actively striving to remedy this by encouraging marketers to use hashtags to ensure that their postings are seen by the relevant audience.

Add some relevant hashtags to your posts to improve your chances of being discovered organically on Facebook. But don’t overdo it; use only 3 – 5 relevant hashtags to ensure that you appear when someone searches for your term.

    Promote Your Business On Facebook

    Make Use of Facebook Groups

While most people associate online networking with LinkedIn, Facebook groups provide a similar thing for professionals. There are several Facebook groups dedicated to different businesses, professions, and interests. Your personal account can be used to join groups of colleagues as well as groups where your target audience is likely to be found.

Take initiative and engage in conversations in the groups you join so that your name will be recognized. This will be helpful to spread the word about your authority and expertise in the industry. Just make sure not to sound sale-sy in your discussions because this can be the biggest turn-off to potential leads and connections.

    Do Facebook Lives

According to recent research, ‘82% of consumers prefer live video from a brand to social updates.’ Hosting a Facebook Live allows you to engage with your audience honestly, respond directly to criticism, and answer questions in real-time.

Q&A sessions with consumers, product or service demonstrations, instructional or inspirational content, and even interviews with prospects or peers in your sector are all wonderful ideas for a Facebook Live broadcast. Think outside the box, or better yet, ask your customers what they’d like to see from you.

    Listen to your audience

While this may seem like a no-brainer, many firms just don’t do it enough or don’t do it at all. One of the most significant benefits of going live is the ability to listen to the crowd and gain their honest comments. Market your business by asking questions, clarifying your own points of view, and even communicating with other strategic partners.

Data analytics is also helpful in this regard as well as listening to your audience because their inputs are great insights to take into consideration in taking actions to improve your business.

Reach the right people with personalized ads

Every business begins with an idea, and those ideas deserve every opportunity to succeed. Personalized advertisements can help you reach people who have expressed an interest in your items online, as well as find new audiences who are similar to your existing customers. And the best thing about personalized ads is that because these tailored advertising target those who are most likely to be interested in what you have to offer, they can help you make the most of your money as you work on new products and services.

Advertising on Facebook does not have to be costly. Millions of marketers use Facebook’s tailored ad capabilities, with the vast majority of them being small and medium-sized businesses like yours.

    Final Thoughts

While social media is becoming increasingly crucial in corporate marketing, a company’s Facebook page should not be used just for advertising or self-promotion. It should also include information about the company and its corporate culture, allowing users to interact on a more personal level with the brand. It can be difficult to decide what to publish, but having this personal element on the page can often boost brand relations and promote a sense of community. So, if you are looking for ways to promote your business on Facebook and improve your Facebook presence at the same time, these seven strategies are sure to be helpful!

  • How to Improve Your Content Writing Skills

How to Improve Your Content Writing Skills

How to Improve Your Content Writing Skills

There’s no denying that content writing is a big business and the need for competent writers is increasing every day. Not everybody has what it takes to be a good writer. To be able to write properly on any topic, you have to continuously learn and put in the effort. There are various strategies to improve your writing skills. If you wish to improve your content writing skills, here are some tips that can help:

    Read other blogs

As a content writer, you’re continually presented with new writing challenges. On some days, you have lots of time and may write at your leisure; on other days, you must write quickly to meet a deadline. It’s possible that you’ll be given an article that’s similar to anything you’ve written previously, or that you’ll be given something wholly fresh and unknown.

As much as we hate it, writing is not always fun. It can also be frustrating at times. When I’m struck by writer’s block, I go back to the basics and read other blogs to expand my knowledge. Reading is a terrific technique to improve your writing skills, especially if you’re reading similar stuff to your own.

Reading other blogs and soaking up as much knowledge from them will improve your writing. Reading exposes you to a variety of writing styles, which can be especially valuable depending on your industry.

So start reading other blogs in your niche. If you don’t know any, a quick Google search will tell you. Be inspired by other people’s work and learn from other people’s successes and mistakes.

    Improve Your Content Writing Skills

Analyze the trends in your niche

While keyword research is useful, it can only take you so far. As a content writer, you need to know what’s trending in your niche to create an engaging and interesting article that people will want to read. A number of tools can help in tracking what’s trending like Google Trends, Buzzsumo, and Quora.

Analyze the trends in your niche. There’s a lot of stuff on the internet. Don’t just settle and write about the same stuff as everyone else. You would want to stand out so that people will read and share your content with others.

There are a number of ways to analyze the trends in your niche. Research about what you’ll write. You can use social media to see what people are talking about, Google Analytics to see what material on your website is popular, Google Trends to see how frequently particular phrases are searched for, or Google Autocomplete to get suggestions based on the keywords you input.

Do not overuse keywords or phrases

When you have a piece of content, you will naturally want to use your chosen keywords several times. However, it’s important to remember that search engines look for density. This means that they look at how many times you have used a particular keyword in relation to the total number of words on the page.

Don’t use too many of them. A few well-chosen keywords can improve your content’s relevance to search engines. Stuffing your content with keywords in an attempt to manipulate rankings, on the other hand, will have the opposite impact.

A keyword density of little more than 3 to 5 percent is ideal. If you use more than that, you may be accused of keyword stuffing. Keyword stuffing is considered a black hat SEO strategy and can lead to penalties from search engines.

Write with your audience in mind

There are two sorts of writers: those that understand the rule, and those that don’t. The former know their audience, their needs and the way they want to be communicated with. The latter simply write what’s on their mind. If you want to succeed as a content writer, you need to understand your audience.

Writing for an audience is like writing for someone specific. You have to consider their needs, their “pain points”, their problems and interests, and provide them with the information that’s most relevant to them.

So, what’s the best way to write for your target audience? Here are some suggestions:

    1. Determine your target audience. Who do you want to reach and read your content? What features do they have in common? This will assist you in determining which topics will be most engaging and beneficial to them.
    2. Define a clear objective for your content. This might help decide which topics are most relevant to your audience. If you want to produce more leads, for example, create material that will appeal to potential customers.
    3. Find out what people are looking for on the internet by doing keyword research. This can help you come up with ideas for themes and keywords to put in your content so that it ranks well in search engine results pages (SERPs).

Substitute images for text where appropriate

To spice up your content, make use of images. Relevant images can make your article easier to digest.

Images are essential for communicating complex information more efficiently. They also help draw readers into your content, which is especially important when you’re posting content on social media platforms. If possible, use original photos or graphics. If you don’t have the means to create unique images, there are plenty of free resources available online.

Here are some tips for using images effectively:

    1. Use photos that are relevant to your theme. It’s a good idea to include an automobile image in an article about a car dealer, including a photo of a cat isn’t
    2. Wherever feasible, use original pictures. It’s usually preferable to use your own photos rather than stock photos or images that everyone else is using.
    3. Make use of a wide range of photos. Don’t use the same photo in all of your articles. Include autos from various angles and distances if you’re writing about automobiles.

    Write in a conversational tone

It’s tempting to write in a formal tone and use complicated vocabulary, but this makes your writing difficult to understand. Remember that your readers are real people, not search engine bots.

Using a conversational tone will convey concepts and explain ideas in the simplest way possible. You don’t have to talk like a teenager, but you should avoid using jargon or sophisticated terminology unless it’s really required. Rather, concentrate on explaining things in straightforward English that everybody can comprehend.

It’s also easy to inject personality into your material if you write in a conversational tone. If you’re having trouble deciding, try reading some of your favorite blogs and try to figure out why you enjoy them so much. What does it take for you to like their writing style?

    Be organized and consistent

If you want to write well, you need to be organized. Sounds simple, right? But despite this, many writers, particularly the new ones, struggle at being organized because they lack a writing strategy.

So, how do you plan your writing schedule? You figure out what works best for you and then apply it repeatedly. To put it another way, you create your own writing system.

No one ever got good at anything without first organizing their resources, scheduling their time, and practicing consistently every day. Writing is a skill like any other in this respect — it takes work and dedication to become proficient. It takes a system to succeed.

If you’re writing for a blog, that means having a schedule and sticking to it.

If you’re writing a novel, it means keeping track of your ideas, plot points, characters and so on in some kind of system.

If you’re writing for your business, it means keeping track of who you’ve written to and when — even if all you do is write one email per day to someone who’s agreed to read your work.

Not only will organization save you time and help you avoid mistakes, but it will also force you to think about your ideas in fresh, new ways.

    Final Thoughts

Finally, practice is the most effective technique to develop and improve your content writing skills. Read your favorite blogs and websites and try to create your own content based on what you’ve learned. As you practice more, you’ll likely notice that your writing style becomes more sophisticated and coherent.

We hope you found this post useful. There are different ways available to help you improve your writing. You only need to find the method that works for you and implement it in your next project. Good luck, and happy writing!

The Ahrefs Keyword Explorer is also one of the best keyword research tools in the market. If you want to improve your SEO, this is a great tool to use.

    Tools for Writing Content

    Grammarly

When you write your content, you won’t always spot the mistakes you make along the way. Grammarly is a great tool to edit your work and proofread it from spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. You can copy and paste your content directly into the Grammarly site, or you can install its chrome extension so it will have access to everywhere you are making your piece. Super, super helpful, 10/10 – will recommend!

    Dynalist

This is a planning tool that will help you outline and draft your content. It’s also useful for note-taking, formatting your headlines, and organizing your ideas. Dynalist is very helpful when I build my content because it’s where I dump all my ideas for a post. All content creators will understand the importance of having a draft and Dynalist is a great tool to use because of its simple interface and easy-to-use functions.

    Helpful Tools for Content Creation

    Notion

A notion is a productivity tool where you can make use of its task management and organization features to manage your personal and professional life. I included this app in this list because it’s also a great tool for writing content. Much like, Evernote, Notion is a few levels above because it does so much more. You can create several pages where you can put in a lot of things including a calendar, to-do lists, and of course, notes upon notes for content generation and ideation.

Tools for Imagery and Graphic Design

    Unsplash

To make your content more engaging, you’ll need to have images. Unsplash is a media library of thousands of high-quality stock photos you can use for free. Not everyone has the time to take custom photos, so having a stock of license-free images you can use for anything is very helpful.

    Canva

Canva is my ultimate tool for designing visual content, whether it’s for a blog or for social media. It’s a simplified graphic design tool that you can use for free or pay for a premium to access more features. Bonus: it also has a library of photos, graphics, and illustrations you can use!

    Read more about Canva here

    Google Drive

The last tool that I’m sure you all know is Google Drive. It’s a cloud storage where you can keep all your files safely and have access to them wherever you are. I don’t know anyone who’s not using this tool, but if you are one of them, you seriously need to so that you can make your life easier.

    Final Thoughts

And these are all the helpful tools for content creation we love to use on a regular basis. While content creation is a skill that can’t be replaced by any tool, these tools can certainly amp up your pieces and help you gain more insights on how to improve said skill. These tools will be useful to plan and develop your content better and will make your work more efficient.

  • Podcasts For Content Marketing

    Podcasts For Content Marketing

Why Podcasts For Content Marketing is Timely

We all know how big podcasting has become recently. You can basically start a podcast in any niche and make money. And we all know that the value of content marketing is huge. So why haven’t you integrated your podcasts for content marketing? This blog article is about helping you make that move. What is podcasting and why should your business be using this in a content marketing strategy?

Podcasts can be a powerful form of content marketing

If you’re looking for a way to attract more customers, podcasting might just be one of the greatest forms of content marketing.

For years, podcasts have been steadily growing in popularity. In 2006, only 9% of Americans had listened to a podcast. By 2018, that number jumped to 51%. And with Google’s announcement that it will start indexing podcasts, you can be sure that audience will continue to grow.

According to a study by Infinite Dial, 67 million Americans are listening to podcasts every month. As a result, more than half of marketers say they plan to include podcasting in their content marketing strategy.

The interest in podcasts is no surprise. Podcasts are easy to consume and are perfect for today’s on-the-go lifestyle. But what does this mean for your business?

Podcasts are another useful way to distribute content, but they come with their own unique set of benefits. If you’re looking for a new way to attract customers and generate buzz about your business, starting a podcast might be the solution.

The beauty of podcasts is that they are easy to repurpose into written or video content. They are an excellent content marketing vehicle because they enable you to build an audience that increases their loyalty to you and promotes your work.

The most important thing is to get people who love you and want to hear from you,” Andrew Warner, host of Mixergy, said. “Then it becomes a lot easier for them to refer other people because they think of themselves as part of a community.”

Podcasts are an effective way to share information about your business, boost SEO, and generate leads. They can also help you build relationships with your audience and promote your brand as an industry leader.

    Podcasts For Content Marketing

Why Podcasting Should Be Added To Your Content Marketing Strategy

Podcasts are an effective marketing tool. You don’t want to miss out on growing your business by not leveraging podcasting so here are the top 5 reasons why you should consider adding podcasting to your content marketing strategy:

    Podcasts are easy to consume.

People listen to podcasts while they commute, exercise, run errands, cook, or do chores around the house. They can be listened to on a smartphone or tablet with the help of a podcast player app like Instacast or Pocket Casts. They can also be accessed through Spotify and Apple Podcast. This type of content is mobile-friendly and can easily be downloaded for offline listening.

    Podcasts are easy to produce.

As long as you have a smartphone or a laptop, you can make your own podcast. For example, if you have an Android phone, you can start recording with the Voice Recorder app installed on your smartphone.

There’s no need for fancy equipment when you start. You just have to press the record button on your voice recording app, maybe edit it a little bit, and upload it on your chosen platform.

Podcasts create brand awareness and trust in listeners.

As stated, podcasts are effective in sharing information about your business and this can help because listeners learn more about your company through your show. Because listeners find value in your information whether or not they have opted-in to receive communications from you, they see that your company is credible and trustworthy.

Podcasts help drive traffic back to your website.

Podcasts are an effective way to drive traffic back to your website because podcasts are treated by Google as a reliable source of information. If you have a podcast that is regularly published, Google will start listing episodes in search results related to your industry and topic.

Podcasts can be a source of written content

With podcasts, you can create transcripts for your episodes and this can be great for your site’s SEO. These transcripts can be repurposed and can be used as blog content.

Pros and cons of podcasting as a form of content marketing

Just like how a coin has two sides, there are also pros and cons when it comes to adding podcasting to your content marketing strategy. Let’s talk about them.

    Podcasting Pros:

    Promotes Your Expertise

People listen to podcasts for a variety of reasons: They like being entertained, they like learning something new, or they’re taking a trip somewhere but want something interesting to listen to. In other words, podcasts are perfect for the busy entrepreneur who doesn’t have time to read blog posts or attend seminars and conferences that will help promote their expertise in their field.

Podcasts can do more than entertain. They can establish you as an expert in your field, a resource for people who want to hear your opinion on the news, and even a source of advertising revenue. Telling the world about your expertise on important topics can make you an authority in your industry. By creating a podcast, you can help people with questions that they have and answer questions that people are asking.

Podcasting gives you a voice. People will listen to what you have to say and what you recommend. They may even find that they love the sound of your voice and want to hear more from you!

    Helps With Brand Awareness

Podcasting is a great way to build brand awareness. As you publish new content regularly, you’re building a library of content that people can go back and explore to learn more about your business. By providing relevant information, either educational or entertaining, you are able to get your company’s name out there in front of a new audience.

As podcasting expands your reach, you have the opportunity to expand your audience as well. You can reach more people who are interested in what you have to say and help them learn more about your company and why they should consider using your products or services. The more people know about you the better chance you have of gaining new business from them.

    Increases Community Engagement

    Podcasting encourages engagement.

By being a regular podcaster or a podcast guest, you have the opportunity to leverage the audience of the show, along with the social platforms that are promoting the episode. In addition, it gives you an opportunity to share your story and your expertise on a much larger platform. This can result in more exposure for your brand, products, and services.

    Humanizes Your Brand

Podcasts can humanize your brand. By interviewing guests or just talking about interesting topics in your industry, you can give people a glimpse into the inner workings of your company and show them what working with you is really like. It’s like dropping by someone’s house for coffee – but without the caffeine jitters.

    Great for Lead Generation

Podcasts are terrific for lead generation because you can use them to offer free content in exchange for contact information. The principle is simple, deliver excellent information that inspires action and capture the contact details of those who want more of it!

    Podcasting Cons:

There are certain cons when it comes to having a podcast for your business so if you are interested in creating your own show, be aware of these cons.

    • The bandwidth can be a bit costly so prepare to have a budget for this.
    • Sometimes, the ROI can be a little bit difficult to track.
    • When you have limited resources, you’ll find it harder to produce high-quality audio content. You’ll have to invest in good equipment to have a better setup and audio quality.
    • If you lack on having regular creative and compelling content for your episodes, you’ll lose your audience.
    • Lastly, you can’t fake optimism and enthusiasm. When you go into podcasting, make sure you are passionate about what you are talking about.

    Final Thoughts

Content marketing is evolving and moving to other platforms. While videos are currently one of the best ways to draw in new readers and followers, podcasts can also be part of a content creation strategy. Not only are podcasts entertaining and engaging, but the right podcast series can also attract audiences that would be otherwise impossible to reach with any other content medium.

The truth is, content marketing comes in all shapes, sizes, and flavors when it comes to topics. The more diverse or specific your niche content is, the better you are able to attract targeted visitors and the more social activity you’ll get in return. Using a podcast as an element within your content marketing strategy will help you stand out in search engines organically and appear more human as well. Just make sure your podcasts aren’t too promotional-sounding.

Advertising and marketing your business on social media can boost your company’s reputation and market reach.

Social media for small businesses is important, but 2020 has made it essential. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, small business owners have experienced financial hardships. Business owners resolved to create their online presence to reach out to their customers and keep their business afloat.

You can use social media to get your brand personality across your audience. You can also get to know your customers better here and answer their questions regarding your products and services while growing your business at the same time.

7 Social Media Marketing Tips for Small Businesses

For a small business with a limited budget and resources, marketing in social media can be a little daunting, but with these tips, we are going to share, this feat shouldn’t have to be.

Here are seven tips to help you get started.

Know your objectives and let them lead you

What are your top 3 marketing objectives? Evaluate them and find out how social media can aid you in achieving these objectives. Instead of chasing trends, start thinking of social media as a means to help you reach your objectives because if you don’t, you’ll just end up wasting your precious time. Social media is not just a “megaphone” for your business, it can be used as a tool to reach your marketing goals.

    Know Your Target Audience

One reason why using social media for small businesses is very effective is that you can micro-target your audience. But before this, you have to know who your target audience is.

The best thing about social media is that most platforms give you access to your analytics and market data for free. This will help you learn who your customers are and how they behave on social media. Relevant social media metrics enable you to perform audits on your existing social media marketing approach. You can then turn these insights into actionable steps to shape your social media marketing efforts to reach your objectives.

    Social Media Marketing Tips

Decide and Choose the Right Platforms For You

When you know your target audience, you’ll be able to deduce which social media platforms are the best for your business. This is important so you can direct your marketing efforts and budget to these specific platforms where they will be most effective. Take, for example, if your ideal audience is Gen Z and millennials, TikTok and Instagram will be the best platforms to spend your resources. Don’t forget to factor in the type of business you are running. If you are selling beauty products and clothing, Instagram will be definitely the place for you because they rely heavily on visuals.

    Share Eye-Catching and Compelling Visuals

Posting great visuals is a prerequisite now when you venture into the world of social media, and this doesn’t only apply to Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok. You should also have high-quality images on all platforms because these visuals influence your followers’ and viewers’ purchasing decisions, especially when your business leans to the fashion industry. If your content does not capture the viewer’s attention, they won’t stop scrolling to read your post. Even tweets benefit from a good graphic. Adding an image or a GIF is the simplest thing you can do so your tweet gets attention. Every business can tell its story through photos and videos, so showcase your brand through appealing visuals.

    It’s Always Quality Over Quantity

The number of social media platforms can be overwhelming when you are just formulating out your marketing strategy, but keep in mind that quality content is always the key. Focus on your key platforms and create high-quality content that comes through to your audience as authentic and valuable. Social media marketing is all about connecting to your audience and building relationships. Be human, make your posts genuine and honest, and your audience will respond accordingly.

    Show Appreciation

Know that social media is not just about you. It is not a monologue where you just talk about yourself and what your company is about. Social media is an opportunity for you to connect with other people and a chance for you to connect with people who have helped and supported you in business. You can use social media to show your thanks and appreciation to these people. You can give them thanks by recognizing their posts, whether liking or sharing them. Your gestures will be appreciated and your audience will continue to support you.

Schedule Your Content To Have More Time For Engagement

Create a social content calendar to keep you ahead of the game. You can use publishing tools to schedule your posts, and this will automate your social media work. This will save you so much time that instead of accessing your social media multiple times a day, you’ll only have to check it once a day. By automating your social media posting, you’ll have more time to actually grow and develop your business and focus on your revenue. You can outsource and hire a social media manager if you have the budget to handle these tasks for you.

Bonus tip: Track and Refine your Performance

As you execute your social media marketing strategy, keep track of what and what doesn’t work. Refine your efforts and performance so you can improve the results. Make use of the analytics tools to track the metrics that matter most to you. When you know how your strategy is working, look for more ways to improve. You can make small changes to boost your success gradually.

Being a small business doesn’t mean that you are limited to just doing what you are currently doing. Make use of these social media marketing tips to connect better with your audience, reach new potential customers, and increase your brand awareness. It can seem overwhelming at first, but you can always start small. With these tips, you can build your social media marketing efforts over time and grow your business.

  • 5 Tips. Why Backlinks Are Important To Your Business

5 Tips. Why Backlinks Are Important To Your Business

Why Backlinks Are Important To Your Business

Business owners may have heard that backlinks are important to their online marketing, but they might be uncertain of why. You might also wonder what a backlink is and if you even need them. These are all fair questions and without them, you could be leaving a lot of gold behind if you’re not using one of the most powerful business tools for growing your traffic and overall sales.

Content is king, but backlinks are queen – and a crucial one at that.

    Backlinks are important

    What Are Backlinks?

Backlinks are used to build the authority of a website. These are links on a website that will lead to another website. Site owners put these links in their content to provide more information about a certain topic. Backlinks Are Important.

Backlinks are incoming links to a webpage. When a webpage links to any other page, it’s called a backlink. And major search engines look for these backlinks to use them as ranking signals when generating search results. The more links with authority point to you, the higher your site will rank in search results.

This is an example of a backlink.

    Why Quality Backlinks Matter?

Backlinks from high-quality websites are essential for improving your search engine rankings. For example, if you’re selling a product or service, then you’ll want backlinks from authoritative industry publications. In addition to improving your SEO, these links will help increase the trustworthiness of your brand in the eyes of your customers.

Backlinks are a huge part of SEO. Google uses backlink information to help determine the popularity and relevance of your website. The more popular your site is, the better your search engine rankings will be.

Some people think that they can cheat the system by purchasing fake or spammy backlinks, but this is a huge mistake. Engaging in link schemes violates Google’s guidelines and can result in a manual action against your site. This means that all of your site’s pages could be demoted in the SERPs and you could even be removed entirely from Google’s index!

    How To Gain Backlinks

The number of backlinks to your website is a critical metric for SEO. The more backlinks your site has, the higher it’s likely to rank. Backlinks Are Important

There are three ways to earn quality backlinks: natural, manual, and self-created links.

    • Natural Links are links that are built without deliberate action on your part. They can be based on the quality of your site or content, or maybe because someone likes what they saw on your site and wants to share it with others. People refer to these as “editorial links.” Natural links are earned indirectly and take time and effort to acquire, but they are all worth it.
    • Manual links are the ones you create by actively seeking out opportunities. This could mean submitting to an article directory or submitting guest posts to blogs in your niche. The benefit of these types of links is that they can drive traffic directly to your site and improve your search engine ranking relatively quickly. The downside is that manual links require ongoing effort, unlike natural links which occur without any input on your part.
    • Self-created links are achieved by creating a link on your own website that links back to another site. For example, this could be a blog post or an infographic. Backlinks Are Important This is typically done through a blog network — a series of blogs that link back to each other in order to boost each one’s rank on search engines. Just be careful when making self-created links because some tactics tend to become spammy and tend toward “black hat SEO” which can negatively affect your search engine reputation.

Why Backlinks Are Important To Your Business

Whether you’re a solopreneur looking to expand your business or a massive corporation, backlinks are an important part of your SEO strategy when you want to get the best out of digital marketing.

Backlinks Can Help You Reach Your SEO Goals

Backlinks work best when they’re natural and unforced. Backlinks Are Important. When someone mentions your business or product in an editorial piece, they’re essentially vouching for you and leading viewers toward your site. Backlinks can also help drive and boost traffic to your site when they’re placed on high-traffic sites. When visitors click through to your site, these links basically act as an advertisement for your business.

The backlinks from another website to yours are like a signal to search engines that other internet users promote your content. If different sites link to the same website or page, search engines can then record that content as something worth linking to therefore making that website appear on a SERP. Backlinks Are Important Earning backlinks will have a positive effect on a website’s ranking and search visibility. That’s why backlinks are important—they make your website visible to online searchers.

    Takeaway

Backlinks from quality websites on your niche are essential for your SEO if you want to rank. They can make all the difference when it comes to reaching your SEO goals. Backlinks Are Important Use this information to help you create a strategy that works best for your business.

    Final Thoughts

And there you have it—everything you need to know about backlinks, how to gain them, and why they matter. Backlinks Are Important Hopefully, this guide will help you understand backlinks in a way that will be useful to your business. And even if it doesn’t, one thing is certain: the world of SEO is complex and ever-changing. If you want to stay competitive, you should familiarize yourself with new developments on a regular basis. That way, you won’t get taken by surprise when Google makes a change to its algorithm. And if nothing else, developing your understanding of SEO will help you pose intelligent questions for your web developer or SEO professional.

What brands need to understand here is that useful content is those videos that offer insightful and helpful information rather than just the generic promotional and soft-selling content. Consumers are smart. They don’t fall easily when they know that they’re just being sold something.

How-to videos are tools you can make to focus on helping and finding solutions to problems for your audience. With great quality videos, you’ll soon earn your viewer’s trust and this can lead to sale conversions.

    Video Marketing Ideas

    Creation Process

A dash of normalcy can make your brand relatable because it gives your video content human quality that can reach out to the emotions of your viewers.

Having written testimonials on your website is great, but you can also interview your customers and ask them more about their thoughts. You can then use this footage and make them into video testimonials.

    • Here are a few questions you can ask your customers when you interview them:

    • What features did you like most about it?
    • What other benefits did you get out of the product?

As the interviewer, your job is to keep your guest talking while, at the same time, guiding them to discuss topics that are relevant to your field. Get them to reveal juicy trade secrets and trends for your audience.

Interviews and Q&As are great video marketing ideas because you can make a series of them with different guests. The more you have the higher your credibility will be.

    Live Streaming

Whether it’s an exclusive announcement from an influencer, a breaking news headline, or a popular e-sports game, live streaming has become more magnetic than ever.

What makes this type of video so popular is the insertion of FOMO (fear of missing out). Live videos are unique because they create thrill and suspense to their viewers because you really don’t know what’s going to happen and this is happening in real-time. And when we don’t tune in, we have the biggest feeling that we are missing something out.

According to studies, live streaming videos garner ten times more engagements than ordinary videos. And another thing that makes live videos unique is that it allows real-time interaction with the viewers. The audience can join in the conversation and might even get noticed by the broadcaster which adds up to the excitement.

There are so many reasons why live streaming performs so well for businesses.

    Tell a Story

Engaging stories are always fun. If you have any that relates to your business, make a series of it through a video. Storytelling sells.

    Animated Videos

If you want to make fun and unique videos, you can play with animation. Animated videos are fantastic video content on a budget as you can create them on your laptop without costing a thing!

Animated videos are also an excellent way to explain and break down complicated things such as scientific and technical terms that are not common in everyday life.

    Contest/Giveaway

Another video marketing idea is to make videos when hosting a contest or a giveaway. You can then share this with your social media accounts for more reach.

An amazing prize plus an equally amazing video is a roadway to spreading brand awareness and attracting more audiences.

Another idea, you can then live-stream the announcement of winners!

    Office/Room Tour

People like seeing other people’s spaces. Whether it’s a room, a house, or an office, Let your audience take a peek at your workplace and give them a quick tour of the room you’re working in.

    Announcement

Do you have something new to share with your followers? Don’t just tweet about it. Make a short video and share it across your social media platforms!

    Introduce the Team

Do you have a team of people behind your business? Humanize your brand and put faces behind your company’s name. Introduce your team in a video and have them answer questions or tell fun stories.

    Before and After

Do you transform things? People always like seeing before and after photos, I know I do. Instead of just sharing photos, step up your game and make a whole video about it.
