When you look at the mood board you created, it should give you a specific feeling and every image has to be cohesive or connected with the one next to it.

    To get you started with what images to include in your mood board, here’s a checklist:

    • 3-4 images that represent the types of models
    • 3-4 images that represent the types of space that you want to shoot in
    • 3-4 images that represent the lighting and ambiance

    When you’ve checked all of these boxes, you should be able to put together a cohesive mood board that will serve as the visual inspiration for your video.

    Start off with writing out all the things you want to get into your video. When you’re creating your script, make sure to write in the tone of voice of the target audience you are looking to attract. You want to use words that will be appealing to your audience.

    You want to have an engaging hook, a concise body that includes all the information you want to disseminate, and finally closing and a call to action telling your viewers what to do, whether it be to purchase something, to learn more, etc.

    Once you have your script laid out, it’s important you make a recording of the whole thing to see how long it takes for the whole copy to be spoken. Doing this will help you make sure that your video is long or short enough to fit the platform you’re going to upload it in.

    In finding the perfect shooting location, there are things to consider because you have a lot of different options. You can shoot in a studio that already has all the equipment you need, or you can shoot on location and bring your own equipment. There are pros and cons to each option. Typically, shooting on location can be a bit more challenging because you’ll have to bring your own equipment. As for shooting in a studio, you’ll have to create the look you want to build for your video. You also have to consider the studio’s availability dates and what equipment they have on hand.

    Another thing to consider is the recording sound onset you have. This factor is often overlooked but because the sound is vital in videos, it’s important you know if your location or the studio is soundproof or if there are any sounds that will get picked up by the video.

And honestly, there are tons out there that will work differently on each one, though its functionality will highly depend on how you work. In this post, we will share with you some of our favorite helpful tools for content creation that we regularly use.

    Google Trends can also help you with keywords research and generate content ideas.

    You can use this tool by asking for insights that can help you develop and improve your content.

     

    Ahrefs

    This tool is great for keywords research and developing your content calendar. It’s a paid tool (and a pricey one), although you can make use of its 7-day free trial to try out its features. The Ahrefs Keyword Explorer is also one of the best keyword research tools in the market. If you want to improve your SEO, this is a great tool to use.

    Grammarly

    When you write your content, you won’t always spot the mistakes you make along the way. Grammarly is a great tool to edit your work and proofread it from spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. You can copy and paste your content directly into the Grammarly site, or you can install its chrome extension so it will have access to everywhere you are making your piece. Super, super helpful, 10/10 – will recommend!

     

    Dynalist

    This is a planning tool that will help you outline and draft your content. It’s also useful for note-taking, formatting your headlines, and organizing your ideas. Dynalist is very helpful when I build my content because it’s where I dump all my ideas for a post. All content creators will understand the importance of having a draft and Dynalist is a great tool to use because of its simple interface and easy-to-use functions.

    A notion is a productivity tool where you can make use of its task management and organization features to manage your personal and professional life. I included this app in this list because it’s also a great tool for writing content. Much like, Evernote, Notion is a few levels above because it does so much more. You can create several pages where you can put in a lot of things including a calendar, to-do lists, and of course, notes upon notes for content generation and ideation.

     

    Tools for Imagery and Graphic Design

    To make your content more engaging, you’ll need to have images. Unsplash is a media library of thousands of high-quality stock photos you can use for free. Not everyone has the time to take custom photos, so having a stock of license-free images you can use for anything is very helpful.

     

    Canva

    Canva is my ultimate tool for designing visual content, whether it’s for a blog or for social media. It’s a simplified graphic design tool that you can use for free or pay for a premium to access more features. Bonus: it also has a library of photos, graphics, and illustrations you can use!

    The last tool that I’m sure you all know is Google Drive. It’s a cloud storage where you can keep all your files safely and have access to them wherever you are. I don’t know anyone who’s not using this tool, but if you are one of them, you seriously need to so that you can make your life easier.
